Finding Inspiration

If we look close enough, there is inspiration all around us.  There are many places to find inspiration for whatever it is that we need it for.  For me, when it comes to blog and podcast topics and ideas, there are several places that I find inspiration, first and foremost being my own personal experiences and interests.

Many times, we think that our experiences are basic or average, but they are not.  We all have something to offer and that something is our own uniqueness.  You may have faced a similar problem that someone else faced, but the way in which you overcame or solved that problem may be unique, and by you sharing that experience and what you did, you never know how much you could positively impact or inspire someone else.

In one of my first blog articles entitled “You Are Enough,” I spoke about how the world needs you to share your gift, and gave an example of the many similar videos that we may see on YouTube.  For example, if you go to the search bar in YouTube and type anything such as “How to Start a Garden” or “How to sing to a Strawberry,” you will likely find a many videos where multiple people are talking about that particular subject.  However, each of those people are unique in how they present the information, and they are unlike any of the other hundred or more people that are doing the same thing.

That said, you must give up this notion of thinking that your life is boring or that no one would be inspired by your experiences.  We all have these negative thought patterns that creep into our mind from time to time that we sometimes allow to talk us out of things.  I have posted many blog articles that were inspired from my personal experiences such as thinking that I was not good enough, allowing fear to stop me for so long, allowing people to stay in my life longer than I should have, comparing myself to others, relationship goals, and so on.

Other places where I find inspiration include industry news and trends, social media, books, feedback from friends and associates, and even other blogs and podcasts.  Social media for example can be a great source for me for blog article ideas.  I look through popular hashtags, follow various thought leaders and influencers, and even other bloggers and podcasters to stay up-to-date on the latest news from around the world.

My overall goal is to serve as a catalyst to ignite a fire within to encourage and motivate you through both written and spoken word, to go after all of your goals and dreams and to live your best life in this realm of existence, and I hope to bring relevancy in my articles.  I also include spirituality within my posts because as I go along my spiritual journey, they could also inspire someone else who is going along the same or similar journey.

Reading what others are writing about is also one of my favorite ways to garner ideas to take it to the next level or to expand on what they are saying.  Always remember however, when quoting a specific article, be sure to give credit where credit is due to the original poster, as you would want someone to do for you.

When looking for inspiration for any part of your life, or for whatever you are working on, there are countless places to find such inspiration.  Just take some time to explore various sources and see what sparks your creativity.  Even sitting in a park watching the dogs run around could be a spark of inspiration.  You never know where inspiration will hit and where it will find you, but if you look for it, you will definitely find it.
