You Will Not Elevate That Way

Please take heed to this.  You will never elevate by putting others down.  Trying to elevate by putting others down is quite harmful with negative consequences.  Let’s not forget about good old Karma.  What comes around goes around, both positive and negative.  Trying to put someone else down in order for you to rise, is most certainly a negative that will come back to you.  Perhaps the reason you are stuck and not going where you want to go in life is because of this behavior of constantly trying to put others down.

How does it help you to constantly belittle the accomplishments of others, giving backhanded “compliments,” all while displaying jealousy and envy?  Even if you succeed in the short-term and receive a small boost to your ego, it will likely not last, and potentially even ruin what could have been a great relationship, be it friendship or business relationship in the long run.  Stepping on others or putting others down to succeed is not success.

True success comes from consistency and working on yourself from building yourself, your brand, and your potential business.  It involves putting yourself out there and getting out of your comfort zone, all while maintaining a positive attitude.  It certainly does not involve putting others down or tearing others down.

Instead of putting so much energy into worrying about someone else and putting them down, think about how much progress you could make by redirecting that energy and focus on to yourself.  Focus on your own goals and dreams and start to work towards them.  Although others may be doing better then you at the moment, do not focus on comparisons or trying to compete with them, or belittle them.  Rather, how about cultivating a mindset of collaboration and support?  You never know where it could lead.  It could potentially lead to a successful business partnership and create many opportunities for mutual growth and success.

Ultimately, trying to rise at another’s expense, will never ever work, and even if it does in the short-term, success will likely not last.
